The book has been banned in several Roman Catholic private schools as well as other heavily Roman Catholic establishments. It has even been completely banned in the country of Lebanon due to the fact it was deemed offensive to the catholic church. What amazes me is the fact that it hasn't been banned in more places just due to the fact it was so controversial.
In my Mind, I believe that this book should be allowed in schools and should not be banned. It is just an idea, not fact, and is a story. The public should be allowed to read it because it shows another view on the idea of christianity. It is not "anti-christian" or anything like that, rather it is just a theory of what could have happened. I think we should be able to read it because not only is it just a story, but also because personally, I thought it was a well written story.
So the discussion question is;
Even if a book covers religion, should we be able to read it in a school setting?
